How to extract the first row and first column of an array of matrix?

I have an array of 10001 elements of which a 2x2 matrix is inside each element. How can I loop thru the array and extract the first row, first column of each matrix?

Please see the attached picture of what I am trying to say. Its an array of 10001 matrix and I just need to extract every first row and first column and plot it out for the whole 1 to 10001 set. I believe it is a double when I try to check it.

@Mr. NailGuy: your array description is wildly inaccurate. The screenshot clearly shows that your array has size 2x2x10001, which means that it actually has 40004 elements.

You might like to consider revising basic MATLAB terminology, if you want to communicate effectively with regular MATLAB users.

Hi cvklpstunc, thanks for you immediate reply. However I need to extract only the first row and column of each of my 10001 matrix then I plot it all on the 1 to 10001 set. I attached the picture for you to visualize what I'm trying to say. Thanks in advance!

Then use this:

elements=a(1,1,:);

Reshape it to plot.

elements=reshape(elements,1,10001)

 all_first_elements = squeeze(your_matrix(1,1,:));

now, plot like you normally do,

 plot(all_first_elements)
