How to solve datatype uint8_t not accpeting problem while using wire.h library in s-function builder?

Hi,
I am interfacing Lidar lite sensor with arduino atmega 2560 board in i2c mode using wire.h library. However i am unable to do it because datatype uint8_t is not acceptable in this compiler. I tried including stdint.h as well. But nothing works. Please help me.
