Network connectivity issues sometimes cause errors while downloading support packages. I suggest you do the following:

I am also having problems installing mingw. It downloads the support packages, but as soon as it goes to the "third-party" packages, it says "Something unexpected occurred. To resolve this issue, contact Technical Support." In addition, both links in the above answer do not work, which does not help either :(

I'm having the same issue - installing mingw. I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2017, Microsoft Visual C++ 2015, Microsoft Visual C++ 2013... installed already on my machine; yet matlab can't find any: it give the following error:
"No supported compiler or SDK was found. You can install the freely available MinGW-w64 C/C++ compiler; see Install MinGW-w64 Compiler. "
please share solution if found
