equation as given in attached file, i am interested to write in matlab but i am little bit confused for even odd given in equation so how to write please help,,,,,,,

In the image ‘phi’ is a function of ‘x’ and ‘y’, but only ‘x’ is shown.
Also, does the ‘×’ indicate multiplication or the cross-product of two vectors?
