Quantisation lobes in phased replicated subarrays

Hi guys, I am trying to implement an antenna arrays using subarrays. From pattern plots, I observed high sidelines called as 'Quantisation lobes'. From the Matlab documentation, https://de.mathworks.com/help/phased/examples/subarrays-in-phased-array-antennas.html, I found that these Quantisation lobes can be avoided by placing a phase shifter behind each element, assuming the phase shifters behind each element are also configured to point each subarray to the target direction.
Could some one tell me how to implement such phase shifter? Any answers are appreciated
