Find multiple objects and their dimensions in image

I am working on a machine learning program in python that classifies cicadas (type of insect) in an image. I wrote the classifier in python, but that requires dimensions that I feed to it from an image. I thought that MATLAB would be an effective way to find the dimensions of these insects from an image, but can't find a way to find the dimensions of multiple objects. What would be the most effective way to do this? And which methods would be able to return height and width of the insects. photos: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BxhgVftMoWYAZWxVYjNHUjlGQW8?usp=sharing

You can try using 'regionprops' function. Please refer to the following documentation for a relevant example and detailed documentation of this function -

Attach your image(s) here if you want me to look at them, not some third party site.
