using Matlab student version as student free

If I will be enrolled as a free student at the university , can I buy a Matlab student version and use it ?

As usual for questions about the license: Contact the official MathWorks support. Their answer will be more reliable than the valuable opinions fo the voluntary users in the public forum.

I do not even know, what a "free student" is. Did you ask the admins of your university already? They should know this also. Many universities have a license for their members.

It means an independent (special) student , a student register for courses without being admitted to a program.
