Yahoo! Finance Fetch Issue - Couldn't Resolve it
Show older comments
Hi,
I followed the instructions on:
and downloaded the files from:
The files are fetch.m and yahoo.p, not yahoo.m. Is that correct?
Also, I put them into @yahoo and it still doesn't work.
The error is (still): "Error using yahoo/fetch (line 387) Unable to return historical data for given security."
I tried getting 2017a, but it hasn't been fixed there.
Any advice would be helpful.

This is not the problem that was addressed in the bug report you indicate. Yahoo made another change, and Mathworks has not caught up yet.

The below post on the Yahoo Community Forum seems to suggest that the services have been stopped and may not be continued.

Yahoo seems to have changed their API
I could not figure out how to query from their new API so the new script uses google instead.
Cheers!
