I have confirmed that the development computer can ping the target computer, and when running slrttest it completes the first three tests succesfully. However, it fails during Test 4 or building simulink model manually giving the error message:
The call to slrt_make_rtw_hook, during the exit hook generated the following error:
TargetPC1: LoadDLM: WriteFile Error
The build process will terminate as a result.
Caused by:
TargetPC1: LoadDLM: WriteFile Error
This was not an issue in 2015a, so why now? thank you!

Please reformat the hard drive on the target PC to be FAT32 and label the volume as C:
In prior versions you could use FAT8 and FAT16, but in R2017a it seems that you need FAT32.
