How to implement a torque converter lockup clutch in simscape driveline

I have been trying to set up a vehicle where a lock up clutch is engaged once a certain rpm is reached and disengages once a lower rpm threshold is reached. So far I have achieved this using a series of switches, however, this results in algebraic loops with discontinuities, causing the simulation to not converge. Below is an image of this part of my simulation with this method.
Does anybody have any experience in making lockup clutches in simscape driveline?
