Harris corner on binary image

Hi, is it possible to apply harris corner binary image? I have try coding the harris manually(get this code from youtube) on matlab and apply on to binary image, however the result is zero features detected? On the other hand, when i'm try to use harris corner application from matlab onto binary image, it produce a lot of feature points? Can someone explain why this happen?
