Information needed for Certified Matlab Associate

Hello,

I am a full-time Masters in Embedded Systems Engineering student. I am planning to appear for Certified Matlab Associate exam. I did check the website regarding the certification, but it is unclear to me on how to proceed. So, I believe that the 'Show Detailed Course Description' on the link below:

https://de.mathworks.com/training-schedule/certifications/show?country_facet=DE&page=1&siebel_course_id=MCMA&url=mathworks-certified-matlab-associate-exam

is the syllabus for the Certified Matlab Associate exam, right?

and the site also says that the requirement is MATLAB Fundamentals or equivalent. I checked and I couldn't find any exam for MATLAB Fundamentals. What exactly does this requirement mean? Do I have to only complete the MATLAB Fundamentals course or give some sort of exam?

Can somebody tell me how and what to prepare for it? What is the syllabus? If I study daily for two hours, then how long will it take to prepare for the exam? I haven't registered for the exam yet.

I wish to appear for the exam. Could somebody answer my doubts?

Thanks and Regards

I don't think the Fundamentals class is a requirement (it's a class offered in various formats -- I took the self-paced online version), but the materials in the class prepare you for the Associate exam. But I don't believe you have to take the class -- it is recommended. There is no exam with the Fundamentals class; you work through the class with automatically graded quizzes and assignments and receive an overall grade at the end.
