One user (of many) is having trouble with a distributed executable. He is getting the message that he can't find version 8.4 of the MCR but he has verified that it is installed. See screen shots below.

There is a bug in MATLAB Compiler R2014a in the way the MCR entry in the PATH is handled. R2014a cannot handle a trailing backslash. Verify that your MCR entry looks similar to
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\MATLAB Compiler Runtime\v83\runtime\win64
and not like this (note the \ at the end)
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\MATLAB Compiler Runtime\v83\runtime\win64\
This affects 32bit and 64bit MATLAB/MCR.

Hi Varun, I'm not clear what you mean by "MCR entry". Is this a setting during compilation, or part of the path, or an environment variable? How do I check? Thanks, Scott
