I am working on a desktop application from which the user can choose certain files to download from the web. I am using websave to download the file, and it's working well, but I want to show the user the progress of the download. Is it possible? If not, can I do it using a different method?
Thank you.

You will probably need to interface with a command line tool that sends back the percentage.

Maybe this would work with parfeval: Downloading and checking the file size in a loop in parallel...?

I'm not sure there is a straightforward way to accomplish this beacuse websave does not give you any intermittent updates on the download progress. @William Thielicke suggestion of parfeval could work. You would then call dir at regular intervals to return the size of the file being downloaded and then use waitbar or uiprogressdlg to display a progress bar.
