Text-border color in GUIDE

How can I set border color for static text?

set(handles.text5,'EdgeColor','black','LineStyle',':').....but I get error "There is no 'EdgeColor' property in the 'uicontrol' class." My version is 7.12.0.635 (R2011a).....it can be a problem?

The error message is sufficient: The is no EdgeColor property for uicontrol's. This mean, that you cannot set a border.

Either use text or draw a rectangle around the static text object.

Official in the matlab help, I found this:"

EdgeColor

ColorSpec | {none}

Color of edge drawn around text extent rectangle plus margin. Specifies the color of a box drawn around the text Extent plus the text Margin. For example, the following code draws a red rectangle around text that labels a plot.

Do I have old version of the matlab?
