what is the difference between de2bi and dec2bin. i am not sure whether they are same or not.

de2bi() outputs numeric values, like [1 0 1 1]. dec2bin() outputs strings, like '1011'
dec2bin() is part of basic MATLAB; de2bi() is part of Communications System toolbox.
de2bi() can also use different output bases, and can specify whether the bits are to be left-to-right or right-to-left.
