Can a variant source block be used inside variant subsystem(2016a)?

Can a variant source/sink block be used inside a variant subsystem block? I have placed a variant source block inside a variant subsystem and i get the below error for the variant subsystem: I " Setting variant condition on block 'trail_var/Component_Functionality/Proc_10ms/Variant Subsystem/Subsystem1' is not supported". Please clarify...I am confused because nested variants is a common usecase. Is this some signal propagation issue?

Hi Archana.

As of R2023b, you can only place "Subsystem", "Model" and port blocks within a Variant Subsystem.
