Matlab 2016b do not work on OSX Yosemite version 10.10.5

I installed Matlab 2016b on my PC , but it does not work. How can I treat it?

Due to an incompatibility with macOS 10.10 (Yosemite), MATLAB will fail to start if you have included any -PC keyboard layouts in your System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources list (e.g. British - PC or U.S. International - PC). The crash occurs whether the -PC layout is the currently active layout or not.

To avoid the crash, remove those keyboard layouts from your Input Sources list.

The issue is resolved in macOS 10.11 (El Capitan). Before you update, confirm that your release of MATLAB is compatible with the current version of macOS here

I cannot use this solution because I am using a PC keyboard with my Mac. I do not intend to upgrade MacOSX to El Capitan, for a number of reasons. Will this problem ever be fixed for macosx 10.10 ?

This issue is caused due to an incompatibility with Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite) that affects Java. While it has been fixed in version 10.11 in Mac, the issue still exists in Java. Updating your Mac OS to 10.11 or later is the only known workaround at this time.
