Hi all I am trying to simulate IEEE 802.11n channel models. For detection purpose I need the NT x NR channel matrix. But [Y,PATHGAINS] = step(H,X) returns PATHGAINS is of size Ns-by-Np-by-Nt-by-Nr. How can I get the channel matrix. If you know any reference please share.
Thank you

For an 802.11n system, the receiver would include the channel estimation stage which would offer this matrix for every per-subcarrier. This can then be used for data detection.
You are right, that the pathGains offered by the channel (in time domain) are not directly usable at the receiver where the estimates are in the frequency domain.
Please refer to existing OFDM based examples in Communications System Toolbox or for WLAN, refer to the WLAN System Toolbox.
hope this helps, Amit
