Exports data (numbers) to a table in Database

Hi MATLAB experts,

input = [1;3;5]; is 3x1 double array. I want to export this data to the database by using the following code.

datainsert(conn,tablename,colnames,input)

If I use "datainsert", can I push the data into the database as is in numerical value??

I sometimes found that datainsert only works with text values...

Please correct me if I am wrong.
