I have a code that calculates mean values, STD and draws a contour. I am trying to build GUI I have used GUI guide but the problem the GUI isn't interactive as well as it doesn't show the mean values and STDs but it shows the contour. What I want to do is that Mean value of x = [specific value] STD of x = [specific value] as I mentioned these values where calculated in the code but I am having troubles to show them on GUI, any ideas please?

Ahmed - add two static text controls to your GUI and then use these to show your mean and standard deviation. So in the code (callback?) that generates the contour plot, update the two text controls as well. If we assume that mean and standard deviation controls are named text1 and text2 respectively, then you would do
set(handles.text1, 'String', num2str(meanValue));
set(handles.text2, 'String', num2str(stdValue));
The above assumes that the code to generate these values is within your GUI and so has access to the handles structure.

Just use static text labels like Geoff showed.
Alternatively, try MAGIC. See how it prints results to a static text label.
Description
This GUI will help the novice user get up to speed very quickly on using GUI-based applications. Everything is laid out in a very simple Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, etc. layout. It is a very good starting point for a typical image analysis application. This application uses GUIDE to do the user interface design, and has most of the basic controls such as buttons, listboxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, scrollbars, etc. It allows the user to select a folder of images, select one or more images and display them, to select a series of options, and to individually or batch process one or more images. The user can ....
