vision based hand gesture recognition

i am doing a project on vision based hand gesture recognition .This project having a trouble with its first part i.e, skin detection this part given in the paper with detection of red n green colour comparision in RGB image of the hand can any one help me to solve this on . if u had total code then give it or post a useful skin detection code
