Hi! My question is how can ı model a formula student car powertrain system in 1D.The thing is I have no idea about matlab, matlab simulink.I don't even know they are same or not :D.One of my teacher gave me this project as my machine design course and he just said''do it and bring it''.Now here is my only one hope to do that.Maybe one of the team can send me their car powertrain model from very long year before..Or please give me some tricks to start it from some documents etc.
Thanks for your supports!!

Hi Salih Enes Tiryaki,
assuming you are a member of a formula student team, I suggest you check out our online training on vehicle modeling . As this training requires some basic MATLAB and Simulink skills, I suggest you take the free-of-charge on-ramp training first.
Additional to that, I suggest you to follow the MATLAB and Simulink Racing Lounge, a video podcast dedicated to help automotive student teams, and I suggest to join the respective Facebook group .
Best regards,
Christoph

Since this question was first posted, there are new products available to help. You may want to check out Powertrain Blockset. It includes prebuilt vehicle models for a wide variety of powertrains, and the Virtual Vehicle Composer app to quickly configure a vehicle without requiring much Simulink expertise.
