Putting up VDI-environment and softwares to it, does academic campus license cover virtualization?

This is not a yes or no answer as it depends on license type and you may ensure that it works technically with your whole toolchain. If you plan to purchase, get in touch with Sales. If you already have MATLAB, ask the installation support team.
