Simulink engine RPM becomes zero as soon as throttle increases from 0. I have specified initial rpm to engine which reaches 0 as soon as throttle input to the engine increases from 0?

Im using a the engine in a hydraulic hybrid system made using simscape blocks.Engine is being used to drive a pump. When i drive the pump using an ideal velocity source, then it works fine, but when i use the engine simscape block, the engine rpm reaches zero as soon as throttle increases from 0. Any solutions?

Without your model, it is very hard to help you. It seems like your engine is stalling, but the information you have provided does not give us enough detail to figure out why.
