All of the files in the File Exchange are available at no charge.
There are three kinds of posts in the File Exchange:
- files posted by Mathworks, such as hardware support packages, and subject to the normal Mathworks software license
- files posted with the BSD license. These will say "Code covered by the BSD License" under "Download Zip"
- files cross-posted with GitHub. These will say "View license information and collaborate at" and give a link.
All three kinds of files can be used for commercial purposes without compensation to Mathworks or the authors of the files.
You will need a licensed copy of MATLAB in order to use MATLAB code. Some of the contributions may rely upon additional toolboxes.
