How can I connect arduino uno to matlab 2012a?

I am having following problem while I am trying to connect?
The board is powered on,and it is connected to a usb port in my computer.Important:my arduino is working for simulink.Its possible to blink led using simulink.
I hope the following info below would be useful to solve this problem.

I have installed the patch file in a different folder.not inside the matlab folder in program files. and then i am trying to install it again following problem occurs. *Is it possible to remove the patch files and reinstall them?
Please help me.I really appreciate it.

I would tend to think that you would need the patches to have priority over the version you are using, but I do not know where you got those patches so I do not know if they are relevant or not.
