How to put "error function, erf(x)" in simulink for processing an input signal. I tried to formulate in "matlab functions block" but was getting error.

This can be done with the block 'Matlab function' which can also be found in the 'User-Defined functions' library of Simulink.
Just insert the following in the m-funtion:
function y = fcn(u)
y = erf(u);
y will be the error function of u.
