how to get text from textbox..??

How can I get text from TextBox. ?? like edit1.tag?? is it correct?? or anything else??

If you are using GUIDE then it might look like

get(handles.edit1, 'string')

or

No, neither of those are correct. Possibly this would be correct:

path = get(handles.edit1, 'string');
