problem in Matlab!

hello guys. I did a problem and the matlab runs and it works. but matlab did the opposite. I want the x_r to be 2.0239 and x_l to be 1.9866, but matlab did the opposite.
this was the question and the given info.

this is the solution that I followed as you see in the third iteration x_r must be 2.0239 and x_l must be 1.9866

as you see in the workspace the result is the opposite from the actual solution so what was the mistake and how to fix it?
