Data transfer from target machine to host computer
Show older comments
Hi, I am developing a real-time system which will be executed on a target machine. My plan is to use the real-time model with an exported GUI on a computer which does not have the development licences. My question is it possible to transfer recorded data from real-time target machine HDD to a computer with Matlab but without Simulink real-time licence

You can always develop a C/C++ app using the SLRT API. Check out, for example, the function xPCFSReadFile in the API.

If I recall correctly, Simulink Real Time supports TCP blocks, at least in client mode. If my memory is correct then you should be able to transfer data to any MATLAB session that has TCP. The Instrument Control Toolbox has tcp(), but you can also look in the File Exchange for the tcpudpip contribution for use without the Instrument Control Toolbox.
