Matlab Current Folder File Browser - Drive view configuration for security lockdown

2 views (last 30 days)
Is there anyway to configure the filebrowser to only show certain drive letters. I am using Matlab in a Citrix locked down environment configured with Microsoft group policy and unfortunately the file browser completely ignores any GPO settings and still allows a user to browse restricted drives and even create folders.
File\Open on the other hand uses the default windows file open dialog box and respects group policy restrictions and does not allow a user to view or browse restricted drives.

I am in the same situation. Nothing I have been able to do can sufficiently prevent a user from accessing the file system like this.

Please explain, which GPOs you mean. I know some, which suppress the display of drives in the Windows Explorer, but you can still access them from any file open dialog typing the drive letter manually. So I do not see that Matlab's file browser means a severe security problem. You can access the files even from the command window.
