how to add columns of an array and display in another array

I have an array for delay calculation whose rows represent number of nodes and columns represent delay for each packet.I want to get another array which has same number of rows as delay and column is 1 by adding the columns and dividing by number of packets ie a nodes*1 array. please help.....
