I am having the same issue. I am on a Macbook Pro. Neither <cmd>-+ nor <ctl>-+ work. I have looked for default settings. It is virtually unreadable and I have to paste into a different tool to be able to work with the text. Surely, there is a default setting that can be set to resolve this issue.

A workaround can be to modify 'Preference' of Simulink and uncheck the option of keeping diagnostic viewer docked.
Go to Modelling Tab>Environment>Simulink Preferences>Editor>Use docked Diagnostic Viewer.
Uncheck this option and now each time the model is simulated, diagnostic viewer will open as a separate window.

Thank you for that answer. I am aware of the undocking capability. However, even in an undocked state, I am not able to magnify the view nor am I able to change the font size. I'm sorry for taking so long to respond. I didn't see your response.

I take that back. As I typed, it occured to me that the instruction was literally <ctrl>-+. I am used to that being the key sequence for windows and for the mac it being <cmd>-+. For anyone else on a Mac. It is <ctrl>-+. :-)
