How to check and calculate the eigen value and eigen vector of a given matrix?

How to check that the given matrix is positive semidefinite or not and how to calculate the eigen values and eigen vectors for the given matrix A= [1 -1 0 0; -1 2 -1 0; 0 -1 2 -1; 0 0 -1 1]. When I am Using the eig function of Matlab one eigen value is coming -0 i.e negative.
