Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA) and Return on Investment (ROI) for Modeling T&D lines?

4 views (last 30 days)
Is MATLAB and Simulink with Simscape Electrical, Financial Toolbox, and Optimization Toolbox a one-stop solution for modeling transmission and distribution (T&D) lines and also able to do the economic analysis for the return on investment? Does it handle both T&D modeling and TEA/ROI analysis together?
Thank you for your time.

Hi @Seth,
Simscape Electrical provides robust capabilities for modeling power transmission and distribution systems, including electrical transformers and transmission lines.
The following model demonstrates a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system using thyristors:
Additionally, the Financial Toolbox in MATLAB offers a comprehensive suite of tools for performing economic analysis. It supports the calculation of interest rates, rates of return, present and future values, depreciation schedules, and annuity computations. These tools are particularly useful for evaluating the financial viability.
Please refer to the below documentation on Analyzing and computing cash flows
I hope this helps!

I wanted to model a biodigester and perfom techno-economic analysis (TEA) for the same can you kindly suggest some tutorials for me to lean these ?
