Looking for a Simulink model of a Series HEV that I can use as the basis for implementing and testing my optimization algorithm.

Currently, I am working on my final project which focuses on the optimization of energy storage sizing in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) using Genetic Algorithms. As part of this research, I am looking for a Simulink model of a Series HEV that I can use as the basis for implementing and testing my optimization algorithm.
I recently read an article titled "Evaluating Plug-in Series Hybrid Designs for Postal Delivery Vehicles" and found the Simulink model described there very relevant and insightful. I am reaching out to kindly ask if anyone is familiar with this model or has access to a similar Simulink model for a Series HEV that could be shared for academic and non-commercial purposes.
Any references, shared models, or guidance would be deeply appreciated.

Hi @Nico,
There is an example model in Simscape, which was introduced by MathWorks and is compatible with MATLAB R2023b and later versions. The example shows how to model a power-split hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) with a simple rule-based controller for speed tracking simulation. The power-split HEV is a series-parallel hybrid system. Please refer to the below link for more details about this example:
Additionally, there is a model in file-exchange that models a parallel-series hybrid-electric vehicle. Please refer to the below link for more details about the model:
You can refer to any of the above models and modify it as per your requirements to model a series HEV.
