Better package manager abstracted away from matlab versions

Why don't matlab have a better package manager? I have been using matlab for a longer time and I had to install 3 different versions to be able to work on projects where the original files were written in higher versions. I understand that there are reasons for this but handling packages are PAINFUL!!! How is such a vital tool is so primitive on managing packages, when any programming language has it's package manager where packages are listed in a text file and the tool can automatically install, restart during the process. With Matlab at around 10 packages it's one hour, manually clicking through and waiting for the next step.

Why don't they have the perfect set of tools, exactly as you want them to have been written? Because MATLAB was designed to make your life difficult, of course. In fact, your name is probably listed as someone they want to target.
Seriously, a huge environment like MATLAB is written and maintained by hundreds of individuals. But they each have specific jobs, code they must maintain and improve. And The MathWorks only has a finite amount of programmer time to alllocate. If you feel that one area could be improved, then it is your responsibility to bring that to their attention, as otherwise, they may assume everyone is happy with the way things are. Those limited resources will be directed to other places, where they do see a need.
Does a total rant posted on Answers qualify for this? No. It does little useful, since Answers is visited mainly by volunteer support. For the most part, we don't work for the MathWorks. As such, your rant falls on deaf eaars.
If you want to do something useful, and possibly see a change in the direction you want to see, then send in a feature request, to customer support. That is NOT Answers. And if you do, you will likely get a better respose even there, if you are not just madly ranting and raving about how bad things are (in your opinion.) Instead, suggest a direction things should be enhanced. What should be done? Postive suggestions are more likely to get help.
Sadly, the world is not perfect. Not everything in this world will ever be exactly as all of us desire. But you can try to make things better for you. Or, you can rant and rave.
