Dear team,
I would like to inquire about the motor drives available in Simulink, specifically in Simscape Electrical Specialized Power Systems, Hydro-Quebec -> simscapepowersystems_ST. I am working with the AC3 drives - Field Oriented Control, using an included 200 Hp induction motor. I am applying a trapezoidal reference and a constant torque. These AC Drives allow configuring the Reference Frame.
When using the Synchronous Reference Frame, I noticed that the stator currents in DQ oscillate and are not constant. This caught my attention. I set up three AC Drives with different Reference Frames. Shouldn't the DQ currents remain constant in a specific reference frame, beyond the transients during load acceleration and deceleration? Or is it due to incorrect parameterization on my part, which prevents obtaining constant DQ components?
I would appreciate your assistance with this matter. I am attaching the simulation diagram and the scope signals.
Thank you and best regards,
Juan

There may be a problem with initial angle. A wrong angle can cause the Park transform to output sinusoidal quantities instead of DC.
Please also note that AC3 - Field-Oriented Control Induction 200 HP Motor Drive has been removed in R2024b.

Thanks, Sabin, for the response. I understand that something's going on—either I misconfigured it or the drive has an error. It's a shame they haven’t improved it, since these drives are a great tool for study, and given their similarities with Siemens Sinamics drives, they would be useful for analyzing drives applied to cranes.
Thanks again.
Sincerely
Juan
