Why does MATLAB crash with "MATLAB stopped working and needs to close" ?

Hello, I'm trying to run a script needed for the simulation of a Simulink model. However, this window pops up and Matlab needs to be closed. As far as I remember, I was able to run the script some days ago (some errors showed up though). What can I do to fix such an issue?

MATLAB should never crash; regardless. If this happens, send the crash report to Mathworks Support.
About all you can try yourself for something such as this is to try to refresh the install with any updates/patches that you may not have done that might be available since the initial installation. If that doesn't solve the problem, you're pretty much at the point of trying to fix something in the file to see if you can make a working model out of what you have or start over and try to rebuild it in parts, testing along the way.

Hi Simone,
As dbp also mentioned, ideally, MATLAB should never crash. If it is crashing, you should report it to MathWorks Technical Support.
If you click Send Report and provide a valid email address, then you should receive an automated message within 5 minutes. If you want help, reply to the automated message and a technical support agent will contact you.
You can also directly contact MathWorks Technical Support at: https://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us.html
Share the required reproduction steps and files (in this case, the script and the Simulink model) with them and they will help you troubleshoot it.
