I have done the correlation analysis beween two gridded data sets (size 180 x 360), also find out the signficant map for the the correlation (size 180x360). Now want to hightlight significant area in correlation map with crosses. How can do this?
A sample image is attached here.
Thank you

In https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/2141881-how-to-make-a-specific-bar-to-be-hatched-with-a-specific-color#comment_3231141 @DGM posted a hatchfill2() function
There is no built-in hatch-filling in MATLAB.

To be clear, I'm not the author of hatchfill() or hatchfill2(), but I did post copies on the forum which I have patched.
... and I guess I kind of did adopt its promotion.
That said, the linked example regards the application of hatchfill2() to patch objects, so if you can express your significance map as a patch object in your geographic plot, you should be able to apply hatching to it using insight from said example.
