How can I determine the distance at which a moving frame slides over a fixed frame, knowing that I use a prismatic joint between these two frames?

I use a solid block to represent the moving frame and another to represent the fixed frame so that the fixed frame slides over the moving one using a prismatic joint, but this moving frame does not stop at a certain point, but rather continues the movement outside the fixed frame, as I am trying to model the lifting device in the forklift.

You can set limits in the prismatic joint. It'll apply an additonal spring & damper once the limit is reached and try to stop the motion.
