Unfortunately I have not seen this error before, so I do not know what the causes are.

This error message occurs while installation of a client R2024b MATLAB for a network license if you skipped the option to browse to a license file. To resolve this issue, exit the activation client and save a copy of your license server's "license.dat" file into the "$MATLABROOT\licenses" folder (where "$MATLABROOT" is the directory where MATLAB is installed).
For more information about activating a network license, you can refer the following discussions:
Why is the installer asking for a license file when performing a client installation? Where do I find the license file?
How do I install MATLAB, or other MathWorks products, on a client computer for a network license?
