How do i convert a 3D .tif image to a matrix to be used as testing data for texture classification?

I have a 3D image of width 1000, height 1024 and 3024 no. of slices or depth of the image. The image is in .tif format and i want to import it to matlab to use 3D Unet on it to do texture classification. I want to convert my image into a matrix format to do so. Are there any toolboxes or functions that help with this?
