Hello
I imported an openDRIVE to Roadrunner but unfortunately it is imported at a distance above the grid. what are methods available so that it imports on the grid? also like a snap to grid option available? PLease check the attached image.
Here the red is the imported .xodr and also the grid can be seen on the bottom. I need to move the whole .xodr onto the grid.

Hi,
the roads or not on the grid (default at height 0) because your imported data is not at height level 0.
I am not sure why you want to move the roads to grid. Depending on what you finally want to achieve and how your scene looks like you could do the following:
  • If you want to move the grid closer to your road network, adjust the grid settings.
  • Depending on the scene you could also project roads. Select all roads and use projection tool. Be aware that in this case any elevation is removed from your road, everthing is flat afterwards.
  • Use translation tool. Select your roadnetwork, specifiy an offset and translate entire road network by this offset. While the entire scene is close to grid (zero) the local elevation of road is kept.
Regards,
Simone
