stop torturing users when protecting from cracking

I am 100% understanding the effert you guys do to protect your achievements, but the way relying on verification from server end via network is not stable.
When I'm demonstrating my projects and running examples, I always pray that the network is open. But sometimes even if I have an internet connection it still fails to pass the verification. I've encountered the same problem on a different laptop. Don't users who activate the service have the right to use matlab offline?

I know what you think, that Answers is a direct line to The MathWorks. It is not. Answers is manned by a purely volunteer set of people, some of whom are TMW employees. But there is no assurance that your rant will reach the right place.
Send your comment to technical support, where it has at least a vague chance of getting to the right place. Honestly though, I am not sure this is something they can directly, easily fix. It probably has much to do with your network, something not under their control.

Hi lun,
This might be happening if you are not connected to your university network, as it might not be able to connect to network license manager set up by your university.
And yes you can run Matlab and other products offline however, "MATLAB and its toolboxes can be run on a computer without Internet access. Individual and Designated Computer licenses, once installed, no longer require any sort of network access to run. Network Named User and Network Concurrent licenses do not necessarily require Internet access, but do require network access to communicate with the computer that has been setup as the network license manager for the license."
However, you can do an offline install which I think should work without access to the internet.
For further details on the error look at this:
Hope this helps.
Thanks
