Hi Gédéon,
I understand that you want to know about the possibility of importing a CATIA V5 model or assembly (specifically a ".catproduct" file) into SimMechanics. While Simscape Multibody (formerly SimMechanics) does not natively support ".catproduct" files, you can achieve this by converting your CATIA files into a compatible format such as STEP or STL. Here's how you can do it:
1. Export your CATIA V5 model/assembly to a STEP or STL file from within CATIA.
2. Use the Simscape Multibody Import XML utility to convert the STEP or STL file into an XML file that can be imported into Simscape Multibody.
You can refer to https://www.mathworks.com/products/simscape-multibody.html.
I hope this helps!
