INVALID MEXFILE ON MY LAPTOP (THE SAME FILES WORK ON OTHER LAPTOPS)

4 views (last 30 days)
I am trying to use CAT12 on matlab.
When I try to open CAT12 it says
WARNING: Surface processing will not work because
(1) CAT binaries are not compatible to your system or
(2) Antivirus software is blocking to execute binaries:
Darwin tests-MacBook-Air.local 23.1.0 Darwin Kernel Version 23.1.0: Mon Oct 9 21:28:12 PDT 2023; root:xnu-10002.41.9~6/RELEASE_ARM64_T8103 x86_64
Then when I try to open files it says
INVALID MEX FILE
but it happens with all the files (they work on other laptops and the files are not in quarantine)

I understand that you are trying to open “CAT12” files but are unable to achieve it on your machine. The following are possible reasons which can help resolve your issue:
1. The version of MATLAB you are trying to use is incompatible with the “CAT12” files you intend to use. Please refer to “CAT12” Manual for the same. Also, please ensure that the Version is matching with the laptops that you are trying to open the files on.
2. You can try opening the files through the “SPM12 Toolbox”. Please refer to the following link on how to do that: https://in.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/507954-cat12-not-appearing-under-spm12-toolboxes-dropdown-menu
3. As the error suggests, kindly set appropriate access permissions on your antivirus to enable MATLAB to access files without restrictions.
If the issue persists, kindly consider a fresh re-install of MATLAB and then run the files.
Hope this helps!
