I am trying to create a model for a potentiometer that is mechanically adjusted i.e, the slider position for the pot is mechanically changed to give the varying voltage output. But I am not able to find such a block in Simulink. The standard potentiometer model only takes an electrical input. How do I do this?

Hi Ani,
I believe you want to use a potentiometer that uses a mechanical control.
You can use the 'Potentiometer' block from Simscape Electrical Library as mentioned in the documentation page here:
It is a rotary or linear-travel potentiometer which is controlled by physical signal. You can provide mechanical input to the physical signal input 'x'.
For a working example, you can refer to an example provided in the following documentation page:
I hope it helps!

But I want to connect a constant block linked to a knob block. I was not able to do it with this potentiometer block.
