- Ensure that MATLAB is using a compatible Java version. App Designer relies on Java, and compatibility issues with Java versions might lead to unexpected behaviour.
- Check MATLAB preferences for "Enable Keyboard Navigation." Ensure that it is checked.
- Ensure that your graphics driver is up-to-date. Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause issues with UI interactions.

When I click the window of the app designer or the app that I'm creating, I can not use the keyboard on that windows. Meanwhile when I arive to those windows using shortcut (as alt+tab) I'm able to use the keyboard. On the window of Matlab I dont have that problem. So, if I'm using the app and want to click a buttom and later I have to write I have to change the window to can use all the app. It's very frustrating.
I'm using MATLAB R2023a on Ubuntu 22.
